Work

Here are some examples of my work, in addition to this Google Pages site. More can be found here in my Github profile. Keep scrolling for work history.

Sample Pages:

UI Design

Mockup of a Ted Lasso ad page redesign (season 2 specific).

A Hobbit themed cooking blog page. Spotlight posts are displayed, with a links to an archive page, as well as a contact links, in both header and footer.

A landing page for a made-up web shop apothecary.

A "wish it existed" site I designed that allows users to search for the title of a murder series or film, that will tell them where it is streaming.

Options include browsing by only the services the user may have, by narrowing their choices alphabetically (maybe the title is on the tip of their tongue and they are hoping to recognize it), or they can browse through the genres, depending on the type of murder they feel like watching.

Becoming a member is free, and allows users to set favorite titles, get notifications for when their select titles become available on a streaming service, and to elect to get notifications for new titles being added to their select streaming services.

Work History:

I started working at age 15 in market research. I worked for Bardsley & Neidhart Inc. for nearly a decade. I started by conducting consumer satisfaction surveys over the phone, and was promoted multiple times. My responsibilities included monitoring interviews for quality assurance of our data; training, including new hires, and for special projects; scheduling, including accounting for time-zone restrictions, and client deadlines; and processing and data input, and communicating results with the client. I left that position to attend college, but I was welcomed back whenever I needed to pick up summer hours.

While pursuing my higher education (Psychology and English mainly, with the latter being my major), I was employed via the work-study program for campus jobs:

I worked in the student bookstore stocking shelves, assisting students with locating items, worked registers, performed returns, cleaned, at took inventory.

I worked in the machine department assisting students with tool checkout and return, as well as collecting, tracking, and filing completed tests.

I also worked as a parking enforcement officer. I wore and was responsible for a uniform, learning the NATO phonetic alphabet and radio protocols, assisting students and the public with vehicle location on demand, with understanding permitting and parking, with citation issuance and explanation of citation procedures and payment options including intense de-escalation, and I was required to act as a representative of the university at all times.

Post graduation, I worked for a third-party company that was hired to do technical support and customer service for Xbox. I was trained in home network troubleshooting, console troubleshooting, and was promoted to position that granted me extra support controls for Xbox Live billing, including access to promotions that I could apply to customer accounts. I was required to keep intricate notes in customer accounts of everything that I did, and why.

I have since been doing freelance work. I have translated print ad text from English to German; drafted and/or proofread communications between consumers and corporate contacts; created content for, and managed a small online shop; advised in content creation for a social media platform, and pursued training in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, PHP, as well as Bootstrap, jQuery, and Sass. I recently earned ComTIA ITF+, and am working toward security and pentesting.

I also write/produce/host a podcast called Definitely Storytime. I read public domain literature in an effort to make such works more easily accessible.I
